Honnavar: Two students who had gone for swimming, drowned in the Sharavati river in Igunda village on Friday, 5th January. 

The deceased were identified as Gaurish (17) and Jagadish (17), both are said to be residents of Jalavalli gram panchayat in the taluk and were students of PUC 2nd year in Allanki,  Honnavar taluk. 

Their bodies were retrieved with the help of the locals.

A case has been registered in Honnavar police station.
