Manipal: Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandalje has called the chief minister as an evil-hearted man and shows off his fake personified glittery image on the dead bodies of Sangh Parivar activists who sacrifice their lives for the cause of Hinduism.
Speaking to media here on Friday, she accused the chief minister of ignoring the death of Paresh Mesta and displaying the fake achievements in the form of foundation stone laying ceremonies for various development projects in Honnavar, referring to the recent communal incidents. She questioned why did the police not reveal the death of Mesta who went missing and when the body was found. Though the intelligence officials informed the chief minister about this, he is so ill-hearted that he cannot even sympathise about the death, she claimed.
Karandlaje charged that the Jihadis, who are spread out in Bhatkal assembly constituency, are responsible for the murder of Mesta.
She said that the communal incident occurred on the previous day of Eid-Milad procession that took place at Chandavar in Honnavar. An artificial mosque set up in front of Hanumantha temple was the shelter for the Jihadis. The temple was covered with green flags. People who objected to it were targeted. BJP leader Suraj Naik visited the spot and he was also the victim of violence. Despite the complaint, the police failed to take any action, she charged.
Karandlaje claimed that the Jihadis have ransacked the assets and properties in the area. The police are acting wisely by ignoring the illegal activities. The vehicles are burnt. The failure of the police increased the intensity of the incident. The Sangh Parivar activists were caned, she charged.
Calling the chief minister anti-Hindu, Karandlaje lamented that he followed the anti-Hindu approach despite knowing about the murder of a 21-year-old youth.
