Honnavar: A house belonging to Ravi Ramakanth Rakode, a local businessman was burgled at the knifepoint in the midnight around 3 am on Wednesday, March 28, by a group of looters here at Karki region in the taluk.

Sources from Honnavar informed that a group of nearly seven looters entered the house by breaking the door while the occupants of the house were sleeping inside. They threatened the occupants by showing arms and started looting the house. Gold ornaments weighing 60 gm along with cash amount of 25 thousand rupees were taken away by the burglars.

A case stands registered in Honnavar police station and investigations are carried on.
