House burgled in Yellapur: cash, ornaments looted

Yellapur: Gold ornaments worth Rs. 5.35 lakhs along with cash amount of 45,000 rupees were looted by a group of thieves, who entered into a house by breaking the rear door in a house that located at Kiravatti region in Yellapur taluk.

The house which was robbed belonged to Yogendra P, a development authority in Kiravatti Gram Panchayat.

According to the sources, a group of thieves made their way into the house by breaking the rear door when the occupants of the house were out. Taking this an opportunity, the looters broke open the rear door and then opened the wardrobe and made away with the gold ornaments weighing 212 grams which costs 5.35 lakh rupees along with cash amount of 45,000 rupees.

As the information was alerted, Yellapur CPI Manjunath rushed to the spot and conducted the necessary investigations.

A case stands registered in Yellapur police station and further investigations are carried.
