HUBBALLI: District In-charge Minister Vinay Kulkarni has charged that the BJP leaders are followers of Nathuram Godse who murdered Mahatma Gandhi and they celebrate Godse Jayanti, and therefore, they do not have the moral right to speak about the birth anniversary of Tipu Sultan, who was a freedom fighter. He told media persons here on Monday that opposing a person just because of his/her religion in which he/she is born is not correct.
Vote bank politics
The BJP leaders are opposing Tipu Jayanti just for their vote bank politics. Is it correct to say that all Muslims are bad and all Hindus are good?
It is not correct to divide society and create a fear psychosis among the people in the name of religion or caste, he said. The BJP has full majority at the Centre. If they have the capacity, let them send all Muslims out of the country. The BJP should remember that Muslims too have contributed a lot for the independence of this country,he noted.
Joshi criticised
In reply to MP Pralhad Joshi’s statement about no need for him (Vinay) to take up dairy farming and sell milk, Mr Kulkarni stated that Mr Joshi should stop using milk, curd, butter and ghee, as he has insulted the farmers. Mr Joshi should know that he grew up by using milk, vegetables, and food grains provided by the farmers.
He should maintain cattle before giving meaningless statements in the name of cow protection. “Mr Joshi is in a confused state after continuously listening to lies being told by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mr Joshi always won the elections with the help of ‘wave’,” Mr Kulkarni charged.
“I am not very intelligent like Mr Joshi. But, I have a good heart to help the poor people. We do not create fear among the poeple like what Mr Modi is doing,”he added.
