Bhatkal: Hundreds of youth came out on streets in Bhatkal staging a silent protest, and demanded Justice for rape victim Aasifa of Kathua and Unnao rape victim. The massive protest was organized under the aegis of Campus Front of India Bhatkal division on 16th April, Monday evening. A memorandum was then submitted to Bhatkal assistant commissioner in this regard.

The protestors expressed their anger over the two recent rape incidents saying that it has shaken the entire country as it has seen the involvement of politicians and higher officials in this shameful act. It was shameful that rape accused were being protected by people of certain ideology and attempts were being made to silence the victims in Uttar Pradesh. The investigations should be conducted strictly under surveillance of court. They also demanded death penalty for the rapists.

On this occasion Muhammad Akeef, Inayatullah Medical, Nazeer Khasimji, Rabi Ruknaddin and many others were present.
