Karwar: Union Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Anant Kumar Hegde said that he was not against Muslims, but against the culture which believes in wiping out another religion.
He was speaking after welcoming other party workers into BJP on Tuesday. He said, our culture teaches us to live with all together. “We do not believe in living after stamping out others,” he added.
He charged that Congress party, in its 60 years of governance, has ‘abused’ the word religion and used it for their political gain.
When India became Independent, the Muslim population was just 4 to 5%. However, now they are unofficially 15- 20%. Any country, which has more than 30% Muslim population, will become Islamic country. History is a proof of this, he said.
It may be remembered that around two years ago the BJP MP had stoked controversy saying that in order to end terrorism, Islam should be uprooted.
