Karwar: The police seized Rs 1,500 worth 15 illicit Goan liquor bottles form a person, who was trying to sell the liquor at Rajeev Nagar, in Kadra, on Thursday.

The accused Madhav Naya, resident of Rajeev Nagar, attempted to sell the illicit Goan liquor at road side, in Rajeev Nagar. Kadra Police Station PSI Gopal Jogalekar said, police conducted raid on the basis of information given by sources. However, the accused gave the slip abandoning his belonging at the spot.

Theft at petrol bunk

Pramod Chipkolkar, a staffer at Amar Tools & Petrol Services (Sardarji Petrol Bunk) located on Kamalkar Road, in the City, decamped with Rs 84,295 from the bunk.

Shreemati Prakash Kaur in the complaint against the accused at Urban Police Station said, the accused has spirited away the day’s collections through bills generated from pumping the petrol and diesel.
