Karwar: The excise police have seized illicit liquor worth of lacs, when it was being trafficked in two different Vespa scooters here at Mudageri region in Karwar.

Sources say, on receiving the information, the police acted on the situation and immediatedly went on for a raid, where they seized Goan liquor worth of Rs. 1,05,000 and have seized two scooters in this connection. Surprisingly, the accused fled the scene leaving the scooters behind.

A case has been registered and investigations are being carried on.
