Bhatkal: Bhatkal  JD(S) leader Inayatullah Shahbandari met the former prime minister of India,  Mr. HD Devegowda on his 85th birth anniversary in Bengaluru on Friday, May 18. Inayatullah presented him the flower bouquet and wished that he may live long and also expressed his best wishes on the occasion.

It shall be noted that Mr. Devegowda was born on 18th May 1933, He served as a prime minister of India from 1st June 1996 to 21st April 1997 and was also a chief minister of Karnataka from 1994 to 1996.

Mr. Inayatullah Shahbandari left for Bengaluru from Bhatkal on the May 15 night to meet party president Kumaraswamy, when the news of alliance of Congress and JD(S) was received. He also met Congress leader and former Chief Minister Siddharamiah as well and discussed the current political atmosphere in Bhatkal.
