Beltangady: The incidents of moral policing are getting way out of hand. A complaint was filed here by a girl student against two men for allegedly beating up her uncle and harassing her.

The complaint was filed by a girl studying at a private college at Ujire pursuing her MSW course.

According to the complaint, the accused identified as Haris and Safwan saw the girl who was accompanying some of her classmates relating to her studies and curtly asked her not to be friendly with boys belonging to communities other than her own.

After this incident, the girl went home and told her uncle about it who in turn took her to the nearby police station to register a complaint.

However, it is alleged that the accused men were present near the station, and attacked her uncle for deciding to file a complaint against them.
