Sirsi: A paramilitary jawan who was deployed on duty at Daankoppa check-post in Yallapur constituency, has gone missing since Wednesday late night.

Jawan K Ganesh Baburao, a native of Maharashtra, was deployed here to guard the check-post. He was serving as jawan at 49th battalion in Uttar Pradesh and was deployed here on poll duty.

On Wednesday midnight, he told his colleague that he will return after attending nature’s call. Since then, he has been untraceable with a loaded gun. Police have launched search operations.
