Karwar: Five-year-old boy, Shyam Hebbalkar of Kaiga has shone in five major ‘Book of Records’ by making three new records in skating.

The boy has achieved world records in two-kilometre walk at a pace of 10km/hr standing on a 72 inch wooden legs, he also holds the record of back skating 500 meters while standing on 72 inch wooden legs. Later, he skated 500 meters while standing on an 87 inch wooden legs.

The three records were recorded in Asian Book of Records, Indian Book of Records, Record holder republic (United Kingdom), Perfect Book of World Record and Hi-range Book of records.

The record setting event was recorded by representatives-- Kamat Kishore Joshi, Harshavardhan- Prasad R G and Harish R of these institutes.

They issued certificate of world record to Shyam.

Shyam is son of Pooja and Sumanth Hebbalkar. He is training at Kaiga Rollers Skating Club under the guidance of Deelip Hanabar for the last two years.
