Bhatkal: The Karnataka Department of Pre-University Education announced the results of the Karnataka 2nd PUC on April 10, through an online platform. Students from Bhatkal's Anjuman Pre-University College for Women excelled across all three streams—Science, Arts, and Commerce—placing in the top three positions within the taluk.
In the Science stream, Lekha Krishna Bhandari of Siddhartha Pre-University College, Bhatkal, clinched the first position with 97.83%. In the Commerce stream, Ashita Anant Moger from The New English Pre-University College emerged as the topper with 97.66%. In the Arts stream, Ramla Eram from Anjuman Pre-University College for Women, Bhatkal, led with 95.5%.
Anjuman Pre-University College for Women in Bhatkal achieved a 96.74% pass rate in the PUC II examinations. Out of 369 students, 357 succeeded. Among them, 100 students earned distinctions, and 212 achieved first class. The Commerce department boasted a 97% pass rate, while the Science and Arts departments secured 97% and 96.4%, respectively.
Top performers included Ziya Anjum, daughter of Abdul Ghafoor, with 97.66% in the Science stream; Rameen Karani, daughter of Riyaz Ahmed Karani, scoring 97.16% in Commerce; and Ramla Erum, daughter of Abdul Varis, achieving 95.5% in Arts. Suwaiba Fathima, daughter of Ibrahim Shaikh, topped the Science stream in PUC at Anjuman Abad College, Bhatkal, with 97%.
Anjuman Pre-University College, Bhatkal (for boys), recorded a 97.42% pass rate. The Commerce section had a pass rate of 97.77%, Science 98.85%, and Arts 81.81%. Out of 233 students, 227 passed. Forty students achieved distinction, and 162 obtained first class. Abdul Hannan, son of Mohammed Hafeez Askeri, led the Commerce stream with 95.33%, while Syed Muawiz Barmawar, son of Syed Muzammil Barmawar, topped the Science stream with 95%, and Toufiq Hussain, son of KM Ismail, led the Arts stream with 75%.
The New English Pre-University College, Bhatkal, achieved a 100% pass rate. All 307 students passed, with 122 earning Distinctions and 185 achieving first class. The pass rates for Science, Commerce, and Arts were 100%. Ashita A Moger topped the Commerce stream with 97.66%, while Harshita M Naik led the Science stream with 96.16%. Pooja M Kharvi and Chandrashekar N Gonda from the Arts Stream each secured 95.5%.
RNS Pre-University College, Murdeshwar, saw a 96.07% overall pass rate, with 98.33% in Science and 95% in Commerce. Out of 102 students, 98 passed. Niranjan Bhat scored 97.16% in Science, and Rakshita Kumbar achieved 95.16% in Commerce.
Siddartha Pre-University College, Bhatkal, celebrated a 100% pass rate. All 382 students passed. Lekha Krishna Bhandari led the Science stream with 97.83%, and Ankita Omkar Moger topped Commerce with 96.16%.
Beena Vaidya Pre-University College, Murdeshwar, had all 41 students, including seven from Science and 34 from Commerce, pass, achieving a 100% result. Prajna Hegde was the top scorer with 96%.
Anand Ashram Composite Pre-University College, Bhatkal, achieved an 98.76% pass rate, with 97.72% in Science and 100% in Commerce. Sumitra Dinesh Nayak scored 97.5% in Science, and Alfida achieved 95.33% in Commerce.
National Pre-University College, Murdeshwar, had a 100% pass rate, with all 26 students passing. Fathima Areej, daughter of Mohammed Nasir Gowda, topped with 97.16%.
Government Pre-University College, Hadin, reported a 95.48% result. Mundar V Naik led the Commerce stream with 93.5%, Diksha K topped Arts with 91.66%, and Jayshree P Gonda led Science with 88.16%.
Janata Vidyalaya Pre-University College, Shirali, achieved an 88% pass rate. The Arts stream had an 86% pass rate, and Commerce secured 92%. Laxmi Krishna Nayar scored 93% in Arts, and Dhanush Nagappa Naik topped the college with 88.16%.
