Karwar: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said BJP has not taken contract of celebrating Hanuman Jayanti, Ram Navami and other functions. He said others also celebrate these Jayantis but not the way BJP people do it. He was addressing a public rally organised to inaugurate various development programmes in Karwar. “I have Rama in my name and I am a Hindu,” said the Chief Minister. He alleged that the BJP is doing politics by dividing societies in the name of religion. “There is no anti-incumbency against our government. People have been supporting the government for its good works which are helpful to poor, middle class and many more. Despite BJP’s strong campaigning in by-elections of Nanjanagudu and Gundlupet, Congress candidates won with good majority,” said Siddaramaiah. Medical Education Minister Sharanaprakash Patil, District-In-Charge minister R V Deshpande, MLA Satish Sail and others were present.
