Karwar: Superintendent of Police Vinayak V Patil has suspended Ankola PSI Onkarappa, and three constable- Vasanth Naik, Ganpati Naik and Girish Lamani, on charges of dereliction of duty to control illicit activities.

The DCBI police recently raided a gambling spot, following direction of SP Vinayak, at Andhe village, in Ankola taluk. They charged the Ankola police with dereliction of duty, sources said.
