Karwar: An incident was reported here at Hattikeri village in Ankola Taluk in Uttar-Kannada district, where a tire remoulding centre caught fire and goods worth lakhs were destroyed on 14th January, Sunday.
The accidental fire erupted at Katyayani Tire remoulding centre on NH-66 and goods and tires worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed due to the fire. Since all the workers were working outside the centre, no casualties have been reported.
As the Information was alerted, fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and controlled the fire.
Ankola police have visited the spot and a case has been registered.
