Kumta: A pedestrian was injured seriously after he was hit by a government bus in an incident that happened near Betkuli village in Kumta taluk on Wednesday morning.

The injured has been identified as Bhaskar Gawdi, a resident of Betkuli village.

Sources said that the victim sustained severe injuries and has been shifted to Manipal after giving initial treatment at Kumta govt hospital.

A case has been registered in Kumta police station.
