Mangaluru: A woman and her one-and-a-half-year-old child were killed after a KSRTC bus ran over them at Uppinangady bus stand on Tuesday.

According to the police, the deceased are Sahida (25), wife of Siddiq from Shirlalu, and her son Sahil. The mishap took place when the mother and the son were crossing the road at Uppinangady bus stand and a speeding KSRTC bus ran over them.

It is said that Shahida had been to her paternal house in Gerukatte. She was on her way to doctor's clinic in Puttur, along with her son, when the tragedy struck.
