Kumta: A bike rider was critically injured after a bike on which he was riding in collided an electric pole near APMC in Kumta on 30th October, Monday.

The injured was identified as Shrinivas Manjunath Harikanth, a resident of Haldipur in Honnavar taluk.

Sources said that the incident occurred when the victim was on his way to his in-laws in Madangeri from Haldipur. It was surprising that no one noticed the incident, due to which the rider remained in the ditch for about half an hour. Later after some pedestrians observed him, they immediately took him for Kumta govt hospital for initial treatment.
