Kumta: A man allegedly committed suicide by lying on a railway track on Sunday evening near Hegde in Kumta taluk.

The deceased has been identified as Gajanan Patgar, a resident of Mirzan in Kumta taluk.

No kind of death note have been traced yet and the exact cause of taking such an extreme step is yet to be ascertained. The parts body after the incident was seen split into pieces. 

On studying the incident, Kumta police rushed to the spot and conducted the necessary investigations.
