Kumta: Five students from Kumta's Shri Vidhyadhiraj polytechnic college participated in the State level Inter-Polytechnic sports held at Acharya Polytechnic ground in Bengaluru recently, among which one student bagged good results and got qualified for national level.

Sandesh Ramesh Naik, a student of final year Computer Science branch, secured second place in Javelin throw getting selected for national level competition and was awarded silver medal. The other students too gave their best performance, but their efforts foiled against the competitors. The other participated students of the college included Faizan Qazi and Sugam Shet of Computer Science branch, and Faisal Sayyed and Sanket Naik from Civil Engineering.

The management of Kanara College Society has congratulated the winner as well as the participants of the college for their achievements and wished them for their bright future in the sports.
