Kumta: One person was killed, while other two sustained critical injuries after the wall that collapsed on shores near sea in Gokarna of Kumta taluk on Saturday evening. 

The deceased is identified as Prakash Venkatramana Gauda (35), whereas the injured are Raghuram Shukru Gauda (30) and Bairu Somayya Gauda (45). They have been taken to Honnavar hospital for advanced treatment.

Reports from Gokarna said that the incident happened while constructing a pitching on a private land acrosa the seaside. It is reported that a group of nearly eight people from Ankola taluk had arrived for collie work during construction work.

A case has been registered in Gokarna police station.
