Karwar: A Lok Adalat to settle compensation dispute of Seabird displaced and legal literacy camp would be held by the district court, in its premises, in Karwar, on January 20 at 11 am.

It is being jointly organised by District Legal Services Authority and District Bar Association.

Principal District & Sessions Judge Vitthal Dharwadkar, who is also chairman of District legal Service Authority, would be inaugurating the Lok Adalat.

Deputy Commissioner S S Nakul presides. District Bar association President S K Pawar and senior civil judge Shivakumar B will take part.

Date extended

The date to apply for Rani Channamma Residential English Medium for Class VI at Ankola, has been extended till January 25.

Those interested may take application form free of cost from BEO or taluk Social welfare office. Entrance test will be held on February 18.

Pre-exam training

Pre-Exam training programme would be held from January 22 to February 1 from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 4 pm for jailers and warders. It is being organised by employment exchange bureau and Bapuji Arts & Science College, Sadashivgad.

Those interested have to register their names at the employment exchange bureau before January 20.
