Karwar: The call for Karnataka bandh announced by Kannada Rakshana Vedike saw an unsuccessful respond in Uttar-Kannada district on 25th January, Thursday.

All educational institutions in the district including government transports and offices functioned as usual in the district.

Speaking to media, Uttar-Kannada DC SS Nakul said that no schools and colleges in the district will be shut on behalf of Karnataka bandh. All govt offices will be functioning as usual. Buses will also be operating regularly.

However, the members of Kannada Rakshana Vedike submitted a memorandum urging to fulfill their demands.
