Siddapur: One person was nabbed by the police on the charges of allegedly damaging campaigning vehicle of JD(S) by pelting stone on the LED screen on Thursday here at Halageri village of Siddapur taluk.

The accused has been identified as Suresh Rama Naik (48).

It is alleged that Suresh pelted stone on the vehicle when it has been taken for campaigning in Halageri village on Thursday. 

According to the complaint filed by JD(S) taluka president S.K Naik, the LED screen of a vehicle was damaged and the accused Suresh after pelting the stone had fled the scene leaving his two-wheeler behind. However, police were successful in arresting him later.

Further investigations are carried on.
