Mangaluru: A case was filed against a man for defaming a Dalit girl on a post in social media.

The complaint was lodged against Harish Raj (31), a resident of Mangaluru.

According to the complaint filed by Shruthi Kotian, Harish abused her on the basis of her caste after she had uploaded a post supporting DYFI state President Muneer Katipalla who is expected to contest the next elections from Mangaluru North constituency.

The young Dalit woman was scolded and abused in the comment section by Harish for backing a Muslim person.
