Beltangady: A man from Ujire who was working in a hotel in Oman is missing and his family has asked for government’s assistance in tracing him. The missing person has been identified as Hussein (53), a resident of Kashibettu near Ujire.
According to sources, Hussain was working as a cook in a hotel in Oman since the last 10 years. However, his family members have been unable to contact him since the evening of 26th January, Friday.
His family members have stated that Hussain used to call everyday but since the said date, his phone is also switched off. Moreover, when they contacted his friends, they found out that he is also missing from the company's accommodation from the evening of 26th January.
Hussain has a wife and two sons. His relatives have also asked help from the Oman Social Forum and Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF) Oman, who have put in efforts to trace him. A missing person’s complaint has also been reported by them to the Indian Embassy in Oman.
They also met MP Nalin Kumar and have requested him to bring the issue to the central government’s notice.
