Karwar: A 38-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself at Unity Colony, near Arjun Theatre, in the City, on Monday, February 12.

The deceased has been identified as Manjunath Balanaik, a resident of Binaga. 

He was living alone in the Unity Colony. The reason behind taking this extreme step is yet to be ascertained. As the information was alerted, police rushed to the spot and conducted the necessary investigations.

A case has been registered at Urban Police Station.
