Yellapur: The police on Monday have arrested a youth on the charges of attacking a couple and snatching Rs. 3,000 from them on national highway. He was then produced in the court.

Theaccused has been identified as Akshay Naik.

The incident occurred when the couple Syed Zameer and Umme Salma Sayed (36), residents of Kalamma Nagar were traveling in a jeep. The police are on lookout for the other accomplice Rajesh Naik.
