Mangaluru: Four persons were arrested by the Bunder police on 30th September, Saturday regarding the assault case on Khateeb Sheikh Salim during late night on Friday.
The arrested accused have been identified as Sudarshan, Praveen, Dikshit and Kishore. However, the accused have been released on bail.
Khatib Salim was on his bike near Kohinoor Medicals at Alake when the miscreants came in a Maruti Omni car and assaulted him. The miscreants fled from the spot as locals rushed in to help him.
The locals of Kudroli had gone to Bunder police station and demanded the arrest of miscreants. They were assured by Inspector Shantharam that the arrest will be made within 24 hours.
Based on the number of the car which the locals had noted down, the Bunder police conducted investigation and made the arrest. However, they were granted bail by the court.
