Mangaluru: Two more accused have been arrested by the CCB police in connection to the Basheer murder case on 14th January, Sunday.
The arrested accused are Lateesh (24yrs), a resident of Mogral, Kasargod, and Pushparaj (23yrs) of Vidyanagar, Kasargod.
Basheer was closing his fast food shop at Kottara Chowki on 3rd January when he got jumped by a group of people who arrived on motorbikes. They brutally assaulted him with sharp weapons and fled from the spot. Basheer was rushed to the hospital, but he passed away four days later.
The police have already arrested four accused namely Shreejith, Kishan Poojary, Dhanush Poojary and Sandesh Kotian regarding the case. During the interrogation the names of Lateesh and Pushparaj came up. Both have been handed over to Kavoor police for further investigation.
CCB inspector Shantaram, PSI Shyamsundar and team carried out the arrests under the guidance of Police commissioner T R Suresh.
