Mangaluru: A tragedy was averted by the Mangaluru CCB police on 3rd February, Saturday as they nabbed four persons who were plotting a conspiracy to commit a murder.
The arrested accused includes a rowdy-sheeter Prasad (28yrs), Manoj Kumar (33yrs), Shravan (22yrs) and Sujith (27yrs) residents of Thokkottu and Ullal.
According to sources, the City Crime Branch police raided a Tata Sumo vehicle at Chitrapu in Mulki here based on a tip off that around 10 people are hatching a conspiracy for committing murder and robbery in the vicinity of Falnir.
The police arrested the four accused and recovered three weapons and ganja from them. They found a machete, an axe, knives, 40 grams of ganja and three mobile phones during the raid. The estimated value of the seized items is around 2 lakh rupees.
The CCB police have handed over the accused and the confiscated items to the Mangaluru South plice station and search is on to arrest the remaining suspects involved in the plotting of the murder conspiracy..
