Mangaluru: Vajradehi Math Swamiji served summon by the court for personal appearance

Mangaluru: In connection to the disturbances connected with protest held on 9th December, 2014 at Ulaibettu near here, the second JMFC court here has issued summons for the personal appearance of Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Vajradehi Math, Gurpur near here.

The Hindu organisations including Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal had held protest rally from Vamanjur Junction to Ulaibettu on the above datealleging that the Datta Peeta pilgrims had been attacked without any motive or aggravation.

According to the sources, the protesters had been withheld at Parari by the police and to register their anguish the protesters had squatted the road. However, as the stones were being hurled by the protesters, the police resorted to caning and were able to disperse the protesters.

A case relating to the above mentioned incident which had been registered at a rural police station here had the Swamiji’s name as one of the accused. Hence, he has been issued summons for his appearance at the court.
