Mangaluru: A 24-year-old Dalit youth, Manohar B., faced a brutal assault and caste abuse by 5 men - Ganesh Udanadka, Radhakrishna Mudwa, Akhil Bommalike, Umesh Birolike, and Yashodhar Birolike.

Radhakrishna struck him with a stick, sending his mother Lalitha into shock due to low blood pressure. Neighbors intervened, forcing the attackers to flee.

Police registered a case under various sections, including atrocities act, while MLA Ashok Kumar Rai visited Manohar, calling it an attack on a Congress worker.
