Mangaluru: A raid was conducted by the CCB on a flat here at Kodialguthu and two people were arrested for allegedly running a prostitution racket on 24th February, Saturday.
According to sources, both of the accused were earning money by keeping and using young girls for the flesh trade. They were operating their racket from the apartment.
The CCB police received a tip-off regarding the same on Saturday and a team was formed to raid the apartment. Police team consisting of Police inspector Shantaram, PSI Sham Sunder, Kabbalraj and others raided the spot.
The police confiscated Rs 1,800, a mobile phone and an auto-rickshaw collectively worth Rs 1, 61,800 from the possession of the accused before arresting them. They also rescued a girl from Kolkata from the place.
The accused and seized items were handed over to the Barke police who are conducting further investigation.
