Mangaluru: A theft has been reported at a house in Panolibailu near Bantwal, where the thieves entered the house and made away with gold ornaments and other valuables on 15th January, Monday night.
The house which was burgled belonged to Madhukrishna, a resident of Panolibailu.
According to sources, the thieves entered the house by breaking open the rear door when everyone was asleep. They stole around 60 grams of gold ornaments, silver ornaments worth Rs. 60,000 and cash amount of around Rs. 35,000 and escaped from the spot.
The family realized about the theft in the morning and immediately informed the police.
A case has been registered at the Bantawal town police station and investigations are being conducted by the police in order to locate the burglars.
