Mangaluru:  The City Crime Branch (CCB) police arrested three people on Monday taking swift action regarding the murder of Shivaraj at Tannirbavi earlier that morning.

The arrested accused are identified as Sunil Poojary (32), Dheeraj (25) and Mallesh (23), all residents of Tannirbavi.

Shivaraj Karkera (39) was hacked to death at his house by three assailants on Monday morning. Personal enmity is suspected as the cause for murder.

The police swung into action and arrested the accused on the same day. Some others are also suspected to have been involved in the murder of Shivaraj and the police expect to get them under custody soon enough.

The accused have been handed over to Panambur police station who are carrying on the further investigations regarding the case.
