Mangaluru: In an accident which occurred here near Koragajja Gudi in Attavar, a youth lost his life after his motor bike was hit by a car on 3rd February, Saturday.
The deceased youth has been identified as Muhammed Sahib Shafi (31yrs), a resident of Chere Pandelu in the city.
According to the sources, Shafi was on his way to Nandigudde on his bike at around 7 pm on Saturday when a car overtook his vehicle. The car brushed against the handlebar of Shafi’s bike due to which he lost control and rammed into another car, which was coming from the opposite direction.
Shafi was immediately taken to a hospital. He had suffered grievous injuries to the head and later died at a private hospital.
A case has been registered at traffic (East) police station.
The police are searching for the car which had hit Shafi’s bike causing his death.
