Yallapur: A training programme on ‘Role of VFC (Village Forest Committee) in forest conservation’ was held for village forest committee members, in Yallapur, on Wednesday.

Soumya K V briefed about emergency measures to be taken during fire incidents. Fire force staff V G Nayak explained on procedures to put out fire, which spread due to natural causes.

Madhukeshwar Hegade informed about apiculture. Deputy Conservator of Forest Yatish Kumar presided. Fire fighter official Nanjunda, Assistant Conservator of Forest Prashant, Shashidhar and Range Forest Officer Himavathi Bhat were present.
