Kundapur: A MESCOM employee was reportedly killed after a bike in which he was riding, was rammed by a speeding bus on Wednesday afternoon 12 pm in Gangolli region of Kundapur taluk.

The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Devadiga, aged 60.

Sources from Gangolli informed that the incident took place when Ganesh on his bike was on the way towards Gangolli from Trasi, while a private bus was heading towards Kundapur from Gangolli. Both the vehicles had a head-on collision, opp Naikwadi Ram Mandir on Highway, causing critical injuries to the biker who later died on the way to the hospital.

As the information was alerted, Gangolli 24×7 ambulance service staffs Muhammad Ibrahim MH and Akshay Kharvi rushed to the spot with their Ambulance and made all arrangements to board victim to the hospital. Sadly, the grievous injuries caused the victim to breathe his last on the way.

About the victim Ganesh, it is said that he was on leave for duty for past three days and had rejoined today. Also, it is heard that he was about to retire by next month.
