Minister assured fund for building advocates’ hall

Sirsi: Law Minister T B Jayachandra said Rs 1 crore would be released from the government to construct well-quipped advocates’ hall in Srisi and funds will also be released to install furniture required for additional district court.

He assured government’s assistance after receiving a memorandum submitted by the bar association members here on Sunday.

Seeking basic infrastructure facilities at court complete in the town, advocates had informed that, there are five courts working in the court complex in Sirsi, including 1st Additional District Court, Senior Civil Judge Court, Principal Civil Court and 2nd Addition Civil Court.

Hence, the Sirsi bar association contributes large number of members across the Uttara Kannada district, they added.

Their demands includes an advocates hall in court complex, bridge providing connectivity between 2nd Additional Civil Court and the building of 1st Additional District Court, Lift system for four-storey Civil Court building and other basic facilities.
