Bantwal: After the failure in issuing title deeds to beneficiaries falling under his constituency, the Minister for food and civil supplies, U T Khader was fuming on 1st March, Thursday.
The officials of the revenue department had failed to issue title deeds relating to house sites under section 94c of Karnataka Land Revenue Act due to which Khader was in an angry mood.
He arrived at the tahsildar Purandar Hegde’s office on Thursday and took him to task for failure to distribute title deeds to beneficiaries during a programme held for the purpose of distributing them.
The tahsildar in turn explained to him that the reason for the deeds not being issued was that 12 of the beneficiaries had not deposited the prescribed amount into the treasury as per the government rules.
However, the minister and his supporters were in no mood to listen to any explainations and expressed their ire towards the revenue officials.
