Bengaluru: The Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait, in a welcome move to students, has given an order that question papers of the second PU examinations will be in both Kannada and English languages.

Earlier this year, the Department of Pre University Education had asked students to pick either Kannada or English medium for the question paper, saying that they would have to stick to the language they selected when answering.

On December 12, Sait issued an order saying that question papers would be bilingual as before, as there was a demand from students and associations. Students had objected to the move stating that they required bilingual question papers as scientific terms in Kannada would be confusing.
