Mangaluru: In a shocking incident, one among the two bike-borne miscreants opened fire at Sanjeeva Shetty textile shop at the busy Car Street in Bunder police station limits here on 8th December, Friday night.

Sources informed that the two bike-borne miscreants arrived at Car Street and one of them went inside the shop and asked for a T-shirt acting as a customer, but did not purchase it. As soon as he went out, he opened fire at the shop and fled on the bike.

Due to firing, one staffer, identified as Mahalinga Naik, has suffered bullet injuries in his leg. It is suspected that the miscreants might have opened fire in a bid to give threat for Hafta. 

Police have registered the case and further investigations are carried on.
