Mangaluru: Four candidates withdrew their nominations leaving three in fray for Legislative Council elections from local authorities’ constituency of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, on Friday.

Independent candidates Nithin Kumar, Kaushik D Shetty, Naveen Kumar Rai and Shashidhar M withdrew their nominations. Manjunath Bhandari of Congress, Kota Srinivas Poojary of BJP and Shafi K of SDPI will contest elections for two seats.

The elections will be held on December 10, said Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra K V.
