Karwar: Mobiles and mobile chargers must always be kept away from children, otherwise, it can take the life of a child. One such tragic incident took place in Siddar village of Karwar on Wednesday when an eight-month-old baby girl accidentally grabbed a mobile charger. She put the cable in her mouth and tried to chew it, during which the electricity ran through her body, and she died instantly.
It has been reported that the child's father works in Hescom, and on that fateful day, the girl's mother was alone at home. She left the charger without taking it out from the electric board while the baby girl was playing.
Seeing the condition of the child, the mother immediately rushed to her, removed the cable, and took her to the nearest hospital. But the doctor could not save the innocent child's life.
A case has been registered at Karwar rural police station.
