Karwar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s magic will not work in Karnataka elections and the campaigning by any leaders, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, will not help the BJP, said Uttara Kannada incharge minister and minister for Industries R V Deshpande.
Talking media person in Karwar, the said that the state assembly election is very important in the country’s politics and in 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress and its alliance will come to power.
The Modi government and the BJP are losing their credibility in the country.
Many political parties, including Telugu Desham Party of Andhra Pradesh and Shiv Sena, have pulled out of NDA alliance.
Soon other parties will also come out and campaign against the Modi government.
This shows how the Modi government losing its popularity, he added.
Rubbishing the statement of Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari that the Siddaramaiah-government has not responded to the Centre’s Rs 5,000 crore proposal to develop Belekeri port near Karwar, Deshpande said the state government has agreed to the proposal and also written a letter to the ministry concerned. The allegations are not true, he claimed.
