Mangaluru: Suspicions of foul play have been expressed by the parents of Rachana, a PU student at Alva’s College who have end her life by jumping from the College building a few days ago.

Rachana was a native of Chitradurga and had allegedly jumped off the fifth floor of her college on 25th January, Thursday. She had left a suicide note stating that she is about to end her life due to poor marks and her health condition.

However, her father Manjunath has filed a complaint against the college expressing foul play. Rachana’s parents are suspecting that the college had something to do with her death. They have further said that the negligence of the administrative board is the reason for their daughter’s death.

Further the parents have also clarified that the handwriting in the suicide note is not that of their daughter. The police have sent the letter for expert verification.

A case stands registered at Moodbidri police station and investigations are being conducted.
