Sirsi: A 23-Year-Old motorist was killed after a bike in which he was moving hit by an unknown vehicle near Ragihosalli village of Sirsi taluk in the early hours of  Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Viresh Lamani, a resident of Bhadrapur in Mundgod taluk.

According to the sources, the accident happened when the victim was on the way towards Sirsi from Kumta. The unknown accused fled the scene immediately after the accident. The impact of the collision was such that the victim received severe injuries and succumbed to it on the spot.

Acting on the tip-off, Sirsi rural PSI Shivakumar and team rushed to the spot and conducted the necessary investigations.
